Children play in the dust of a demolished neighbourhood in Kabul — joyful, absorbed, entirely present in a landscape of destruction. Ahmadi took this photograph in 2018, returned to the site in 2022, and found it entirely changed. The children are unidentified, untraceable. The photograph is all that remains.
