A divine beam cuts through the darkness of a tax collector's den, illuminating faces caught mid-gesture between the mundane and the holy. Vincenti studied the Contarelli Chapel firsthand before producing this monumental interpretation — the most sustained engagement with Caravaggesque chiaroscuro in the school.
