A raucous banquet on Olympus rendered in sumptuous Baroque excess — overflowing with golden goblets, roasted birds, pomegranates and laurel wreaths. Barbieri's gods are boisterous and fallible: Neptune spills wine, Bacchus has already collapsed in the foreground.
